BBPlacemarks

Brightkite has recently released a beta API which I was fortunate enough to be invited to take apart in. With the API I figured I would continue my BlackBerry programming and create a simple BlackBerry brightkite application.
BBPlacemarks is a really simple application that allows you to easily check in at your placemarks. You can find the install page here: http://bbrtm.org/bbplacemarks/. The current version is 0.1. This version has not really been tested outside of the Verizon BlackBerry 8830 so if it doesn’t work on your BlackBerry, send me an e-mail and we will try and work it out.
Below is a little walk through on setting up the application. If you have any problems, feel free to email me at jemerick@gmail.com.
Starting off, here is the home screen with the brightkite icon:
When opening up BBPlacemarks for the first time, you will see this screen:
To configure BBPlacemarks, select options from the menu to display the screen below where you will enter your brightkite username and password (BBPlacemarks currently uses basic authentication, but I may look into OAuth in the near future):
After saving the the settings, you can now download your placemarks to your BlackBerry by selecting Update Placemarks from the menu as seen below. The placemarks are stored on your BlackBerry to speed things up, so if you add a placemark online, you will need to update your placemarks on your BlackBerry again to sync it up.
Once you placemarks are updated, select which one you would like to check in at and click the Check In button:
If your username and/or password is incorrect, a screen like below will be displayed or your placemarks will not update and will be erased:
