Tomorrow is Father’s Day… Since I have to work tomorrow in the morning, we celebrated it today… Went to plaza azteca for dinner and then mom and I went to best buy to get dad’s gift…

Got him a Logitech Harmony 550… It’s a really cool universal remote… instead of conventional remotes, you actually program this remote through the computer… and you can set it all up on there… It has support for 100,000+ devices and is really really simple to program… Want to watch a DVD? Just press the watch DVD button, and the TV, DVD Player, and the Audio receiver all turn on and change to the correct settings… just pop the DVD in and you are set to go… much better than the 5 or so remotes we were using before…

I recommend any of the Logitech harmony remotes as well as any Logitech product… never have had any issues with them at all…

Well i am going to go work on getting a mythTV backend working on this server…

Yeah i have been on a lil shopping spree lately…

Got a Cisco 2924 network switch to add to the rack… picked it up for $50 off of ebay… got it to play around with and learn a bit about Cisco IOS and to add some switching capacity to my little network…

Also got a transition networks 12 slot media convert rack for $50 to house my fiber converters… my whole 2 fiber converters…

For those that dont know… i have worn Adidas Sambas since like 5th grade… I have always owned a pair and have worn them just about every day since…

Well due to everyone saying i need new shoes erin, travis, and i finally went shopping and i found a new pair of shoes to please everyone…

they are very similar to the sambas and still very comfortable… got them at journey’s at the mall…

Sorry it has been so long since I last posted…

not much has been going on… Been working 5-6 days a week, going to the gym, and hanging out with friends… Played ice hockey for the first time a couple weeks ago… a lot of fun… The plan is to play every friday or so to play… its only $10 for 2 hours of ice time… not bad… and its a lot of fun…

Work is work… not much going on there… the new turnstiles are somewhat of a pain as they like to lock up and have issues with the bio scanners… other than that, just a few computers here and there that keep dying and need repaired and ghosted…

Been trying to go to the gym at least 3x a week… ice hockey is good workout too… ice skating and being on a much larger rink than i am used to is quite a challenge… but im quickly learning how to skate better… just takes some practice… Thinking about getting a new bike and doing some trail riding with some friends…

Been watching hockey… tonight could possibly be the last game of the season if the ducks win…

Think i am going to go for a quick run since i didnt make it to the gym today…
