Well i got the schedule that i requested for the spring 2007 semester… you can see it on my calendar… go to the month of Janurary to see it… its going to be a busy semester with 18 credit hours… should be fun…

Happy Turkey Day everyone!!

Yup we get a whole week off… so after my electronics test on last Friday i was done for a whole week…

Was going to head to Knoxville to visit Rachel but she was too busy for me :p so instead i came up here to my Nan and Pap’s in PA… I left friday night around 7 and got here just past 1am.. not too bad of a drive after the first couple of hours when traffic was horrible…

On saturday we went for breakfast then went out to camp where we cut and chopped some firewood for camp and a few for the house… was a fun day… came back home and watched VT beat Wake Forest…

On Sunday we went to breakfast at the Elks Club with Art and then went out to Arts camp to sight in some rifles as deer hunting season starts next week… so we hung out at Arts camp, shot some guns and trimmed up the tree of which we made some firewood out of it… Started watching the steelers game out at camp then came home and watched the rest of the game and was surprised we pulled off that win…

Monday I got to sleep in a bit and then hung around the house till after dinner… after which we went to the farm down the road to take my cousin Alexa to see the cows and milk them… so she got to see some calves and milk a cow… she had a good time… and my foot got pooped on by a cow… that was fun… found out that i will be going with Rachel to her formal on the 1st of december… yay its on a river boat… should be lots of fun… now i just have to figure out what to wear…

Tuesday i got to sleep in yet again… it is nice… We just hung around the house all day and went to the Smokehouse for dinner… 99 cents for a plate of spaghetti and a meatball, small salad and breadstick… not too bad at all… The rest of the family is coming up tonight… should be here around midnight or so…

Wednesday… not a whole lot done today… mostly just hung out here… went to lowes and tractor supply with art, pap, and dad… watched TV… thats about it…

Thursday… Happy Turkey Day!!! got up, took a shower and then hit the road… went to my aunt Robin’s house to see it since we havent seen it since just after construction… very very nice house… then we went over to my aunt Michelles for thanksgiving dinner… had some really good food… pumpkin cake and pie were delicious… and i got to use high-speed internet so i spent a good 2 hours or so catching up on digg, reading rss feeds and email… was nice to have high-speed internet again… i missed it… now i am back to dial up land… not my Nans fault… they just wont give them DSL or cable out here… they are supposed to get fiber up here from verizon… if they do ill be moving up here… FioS is sweet… after dinner we all hung around and talked for awhile and then hit the road for the 2.5 hour drive back here… was a good thanksgivings

Black Friday… no shopping for me… i like to do most of mine online… so i got up around 10ish and hung around the house, took a shower and ate some lunch… caught up on some video podcasts until mom, nan, and aunt got back from their shopping adventures… they got me a nice tie and suit jacket for the formals this friday… however the jacket didnt fit so we had to take it back to the store… luckily the store had the right size so we got that and also stopped by walmart to pick up some cold medicine and sheetz to get gas… on the way back to the house we saw fire rescue truck heading out the way we were heading… we got back to the house and started to eat some yummy mables pizza when art called and told my pap that the grain elevator at the farm he works at was on fire (where that truck was heading)… so we hopped in the truck, picked up art and headed up to the farm to check it out… the fire was out when we got there and most of the trucks gone… so we surveyed the damage, not very much… it was just a fairly small fire… they will be back up and running on saturday drying corn… we then headed back to the house where i finished eating some pizza and finished packing up everything and loaded the car… got on the road around 8:15 or so…

Saturday…. got in around 2:30am this morning… unloaded the car and caught up on the internet… hit the bed around 3:30 or so… got up this morning around 10am, took a shower and headed to the football game… we beat UVA 17-0… came back here after the game… just caught up on some missed TV… took a lil nap… then trav introduced me to the new Nintendo Wii… very clever design and i think it will do quite well… the controller is pretty cool as its pretty much based off of motion… like for bowling, you move the controller just as if you were actually bowling… somehow i do better bowling on the Wii than in real life… while playing baseball, you swing the controller just like a bat… well during a home run derby i swung the controller, the controller slips out of my hand, the lanyard around my wrist breaks off and the controller goes flying into the sliding glass door… fortunately no damage was done with the exception of a broken lanyard which was tied back into place… very fun system… i cant wait for the new duck hunt to come out as i loved that game on the original Nintendo…

Sunday… didnt really do too much on sunday… just hung around the house… went and played some pickup hockey… game back, took a shower and then went to wal-mart to stock up the cabinets for the week… talked to Rachel on the phone as always and prepared for the upcoming couple weeks left of school…

So that was my thanksgiving break in a nutshell… it was fun…

now i am going to go to class…

I am slowly putting up pictures there… more than i had on the old one so far… and lots more to come as i find the time… uploading photos can be quite tedious when you need to tag them and all… plus there are upload limits that i have to deal with… unless someone wants to buy me the pro account (see Christmas list)

I have updated emerick.org index to reflect the change in picture hosting, however pics.emerick.org still goes to the old site until i get that updated…

well a quick update on the services offered at emerick.org…

mms.emerick.org will no longer be available as i havent used it since i moved my domain to godaddy and i probably wont have a camera phone after too long…

pics.emerick.org will also no longer be available… i am moving my picture hosting to either flickr or zooomr… i havent decided which one yet… but once i do i will annoucne that here and change the link on the emerick.org portal page… it will save on bandwidth and if i ever move my site again i dont have to worry about re uploading all of the pictures, which is why there are no pictures on pics.emerick.org right now anyways…. i will start uploading the newest pictures first…

all other services will remain intact as they currently are… if you have any questions, let me know…

Oh, and a note on the blog, the comments no longer have to be approved by me before being posted as akismet is great at catching spam… i still get an email letting me know you posted, but the comment should be posted immediately…
