Adelphia Internet

Under adelphia’s reasons to get premiere internet service:

  • You frequently use peer-to-peer file sharing applications.

Is adelphia promoting illegal file sharing? hmm…

Well either way, we are getting Adelphia Internet cable when we get back from winter break… Just cant stand NTC anymore… when trying to watch funny videos on http://videos.google.com or doing anything remotely bandwidth intensive, other applications that use the internet get disconnected… and the 100KBs down speed just blows… compared to Cables 3-4Mbs or 6Mbs if you get the premier…

So the plan is to go adelphia… Hopefully they can come through for us… The only bad think about adelphia is the fact that they block all the good ports… so my servers will stay on the NTC connection as they do not block port 80, or 21, or anyother port that i do know of… Allthough they may limit the bandwidth on certain ports… not sure…

well i have to write a cover letter… later…

Sharpie Pens are bad for CDR-DVD Media

Can it really be true? Apparantly Sharpie pens are not water based (they are oil based) so this link claims that after only 100 hours of accelerated aging at 60°C and 85% relative humidity, all the test discs degraded with both Sharpie and Dixon Redisharp Plus pens! This is bad news for a lot of people and good news for both the MPAA and RIAA!
